Our city’s most unique holiday celebration has to be the annual Huntington Beach Christmas Boat Parade. Every year Harbor residents voluntarily deck their boats in hundreds of twinkling lights and sail through the islands and channels of our harbor to the delight of spectators.

This is one Huntington Beach Christmas parade that attracts a crowd so grab an early spot on the beach and enjoy the sight!

Breakfast with Santa

If you’re looking for Christmas activities for kids, it doesn’t get better than sitting down for breakfast with Santa Claus. Dress your little ones in their favorite holiday ensemble for pictures with Santa before enjoying a pancake breakfast, arts and crafts and a bounce house to combat the sugar rush.

Light a Light of Love Holiday Event

Another Huntington Beach Christmas parade that shouldn’t be missed is at the Light of Love Holiday Event. Our youngest volunteers march in the parade to the tune of Christmas carols before enjoying holiday activities on the pier, a visit from Santa and a snowfall of real snowflakes! The event is free, but any donations benefit the Huntington Beach Youth Shelter.

Holiday Cookie Crawl & Movie Night

The merchants of the Pacific City mall make Christmas dreams come true on this special night, handing out holiday cookies to children like candy on Halloween. After roving through the mall serenaded by carolers, families can end the night at the Surf City Theater for a screening of Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer under the stars.

Getting Ready for Santa

Just before Santa’s big night, get ready for his arrival at Lot 579, Pacific City Mall’s Gourmet Food Hall. Kids can decorate cookies to leave for Santa the next night and even write him letters with some last-minute items. Santa will also make one last appearance before his busiest night of the year!
